Support Land & Watershed Preservation and Stewardship
What We Do
We are actively restoring our physical connection to our ancestral homelands while being active here in Southern California, where we all call home. This includes traveling between Southern and Northern California to conduct community-led water testing, planting native species, and physically clearing land to build our traditional community arena on a land-based space for ceremony and tribal gathering.
Why We Do It
Decades of displacement and geographic barriers have cut off many tribal members from the lands our ancestors stewarded for millennia. True Sovereignity requires regular, physical presence on our soil. Building an arena and restoring native plants ensures our people have a safe, permanent, and accessible place to practice our culture.
What Your Donation Supports
Your Financial Support directly funds the infrastructure required to get our people back to the land. Donations cover transportation, food, and lodging for tribal members when needed. With the distance being so long, it becomes very expensive for members to travel several times a year to give the dedication they strive for.
Support Cultural Education
What We Do
We provide cultural education for our youth and our surrounding communities. This includes intergenerational workshops with our elders for language revitalization, storytelling, and regalia-making, as well as traveling to schools to share our living history through traditional song and dance.
Why We Do It
To ensure the long-term survival of our heritage, our youth must have the resources to create a curriculum for future generations. Cultural knowledge cannot just be archived-it must be actively lived. Providing these resources protects our youth from systematic invisibility, builds immense cultural pride, and heals historical fractures.
What Your Donation Supports
We need expanded resources to keep families accessible to all families. Your donation funds educational supplies for language linguistics and craft workshops; transportation to gather traditional materials; educational materials for school presentations; and stipends for initiatives for our youth in recognition of their dedication to our larger projects that require a lot of time.
